These are the steps we follow as part of our estimation and coating system installation process:

In-person Assessment of the Space to be Coated: We’ll make a face-to-face visit of your home or place of business to inspect the space to be coated…because each space is unique. We’ll start by taking precise measurements of the square footage and take concrete moisture readings. During the visit, you can peruse the samples of our various colored coating system boards so you can determine which system and color scheme is the most suitable choice for your unique space.

Concrete Preparation (Day 1): After arriving on the scheduled date and time, we’ll use our high-quality propane grinders (equipped with HEPA-filtered attachments to minimize dust) and our proprietary concrete patch system to create the perfect concrete canvas.

Moisture-Mitigating Primer Application (Day 1): Installation starts off with the application of our doubly-thick 100%-solids, moisture-mitigating epoxy primer coat…twice as thick as typical applications. It’s this coat that allows us to fully warrant your flooring.

Chip Broadcast (Day 1): Subsequently, your chosen full-flake epoxy flooring blend will be broadcast in a full spread into the wet primer coat (it’s called broadcasting to rejection). Because the primer coat is so thick, the flakes properly embed in the primer (unlike thin 1-day systems)…so your socks won’t catch on the finished flooring

Flake Reclamation, Vacuuming and Sanding (Day 2): We’ll return on the second day of installation and begin reclaiming flakes that have not adhered. We’ll sand down the layer of flakes to ready it for application of the final clear topcoats.

Clear Polyaspartic Topcoats (Day 2): The process culminates with the application of dual, 100%-solids polyaspartic clear topcoats (not just one). During the second coat, we add anti-skid aggregate to minimize the potential for slippage. With our industrial-grade products, we ensure protection against moisture (including high hydrostatic pressures), staining from hot-tire transfer, and most automobile fluids. Therefore, there’is no requirement for “vehicle pads” or any other unnecessary exclusions that 1-day systems usually mandate.
